Perhaps you've been considering whether to stay at your present firm (if you've been offered to stay) or may be scounting for potential firms that will futher strengthen your foundation and take you to new heights.
Well, let us help to take salaries out of the curiosity equation by narrowing down a list of the top 20 highest paying law firms for newly qualified associates, which currently ranges from RM 3,300 to RM 6,000.
On top of a basic salary, the firm also gives out allowances for Associates' handphones and gym memberships. There are also opportunities for secondment, based on what users of this website have shared.

The firm's practice areas include Banking & Finance, Corporate, Litigation & Alternative Dispute Resolution and Corporate & Retail Real Estate. The firm is also said to offer medical coverage to its Associates.

If a newly qualified salary of RM 5,000 (which is inclusive of RM 500 of benefits and allowances) isn't enough, Associates are further incentivised by the firm's attractive training programs, secondment opportunities through the Baker & McKenzie network and allowances for clothing, meals, parking, gym memberships and more.
2. Thomas Philip (Tied for 2nd place)

Thomas Philip made it to the top of our pupillage salary list and takes second place for newly qualified associates. Don't get us wrong, at a base salary of RM 5,000 per month it's a pretty sweet amount and you'll also be part of a firm that is well ranked for litigation and known for its investment in training and development.
Thomas Philip also provides additional benefits such as RM 1,200 mobile allowance per year, RM 5,760 of parking rebates a year, and CPD / training allowances and interest free study loans of RM 2,000 and RM 5,000 respectively, meaning there may be a total of RM13,960 worth of benefits available, if fully claimed. Moreover, a performance bonus is issued once every 10 weeks (provided that you've completed one year at the firm).
1. Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill

Recently increasing their newly qualified salaries to RM 6,000 per month (which includes a component of front-loaded bonuses and allowances), Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill takes the top spot on our list.
In addition, the firm offers medical coverage, dental coverage, secondment opportunities in certain departments, in-house and external training opportunities, parking allowance worth RM 190 per month and a bi-annual attire allowance.
